2021 Goals

Here are my 21 goals for 2021. Some of these are things I didn’t have the opportunity to complete in 2020 or are things that I want to continue working on. Some are brand new.

  1. Move to Japan
  2. Write the JLPT N4
  3. Write the JLPT N3
  4. Visit three new prefectures in Japan
  5. Cycle the Shimanami Kaido or walk part of the Shikoku 88 temple pilgrimage 
  6. Eat at a Michelin starred restaurant
  7. Read 50 Books
  8. Read all the books I own
  9. Continue embracing intuitive eating habits. Eat what you are hungry for when you are physically hungry
  10. Try 50 new recipes
  11. Exercise a couple of times a week (Go to the gym, do yoga, take extra cycling trips, or go on big walks)
  12. Meditate before bed each day and during the day at least twice a week
  13. Get seven or more hours of sleep consistently (try for 75% of days)
  14. Be a regular volunteer or make charitable donations (at least once a month)
  15. Do center splits/middle splits. Stretch everyday
  16. Make a capsule wardrobe filled with clothes I love
  17. Dress up nicely at least once a week. Take a photo each time
  18. Go to therapy at least once a month
  19. Spend more time relaxing freely without expectation. You don’t have to try to be productive all of the time.
  20. Do my skincare routine each day
  21. Keep my space clean and tidy. Stick to a relaxed but consistent cleaning schedule. Wash my dishes everyday.

I will revisit an item if it isn’t working for me.

I also want to work on the more nebulous goal of being more open and sharing more of myself with other people. I want to feel that those around me know my authentic self. I want to tend and deepen my relationships with others.
